Whare Nui Mirror | Māori Poutama Guardian Design | Handcrafted in Southland NZ | CRE-eight
Design Story
The Whare Nui Mirror captures the essence of the whare nui, a sacred place of gathering, unity, and ancestral connection.
The poutama (stepped pattern) represents the journey of knowledge, achievement, and spiritual elevation, while the guardian figure (kaitiaki) below embodies protection, balance, and guidance.
Together, these elements tell a story of heritage and progress — honouring those who came before while reflecting your own path forward.
The mirror surface adds a deeper meaning: self-reflection, inviting you to see your whakapapa and strength within its design.
